The pre-approval process is very easy. Gary will talk to you about your housing aspirations and short-term goals. He will then go over different loan options to determine what is the best for you based on your individual circumstances. A pre-approval letter, which Gary will furnish for you, can put you in a better negotiating position, much like a cash buyer. An added benefit that Gary offers is that there is NO application fee and no fee involved in becoming pre-approved.
When does it make sense to refinance?
Usually people refinance to save money, either by obtaining a lower interest rate or by reducing the term of the loan. What is a rate lock?
There are four components to a rate lock: loan program, interest rate, points if any, and the length of the lock (15, 30, 45, or 60 days). A rate lock assures you that a specific interest rate will be available to you at the time of closing. In case interest rates rise, you are protected; if rates become lower, downward adjustments can usually be made. Gary does not charge any fees to lock a loan.
